TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENROLMENT

EXTRA LESSONS CONDITIONS OF ENROLMENT 2026

1. LESSONS:

Bright Young Minds Tuition Centre provides lesson materials to help improve your child’s skills in the selected subjects. While we aim to support and nurture students, we cannot guarantee specific results, as each student responds differently to our program. By enrolling, you agree to release the Centre from liability for any loss or damages related to your child’s participation. Our liability is limited to providing the agreed tuition services, as allowed by law.

2. ATTENDANCE:

Regular attendance is essential for your child's progress. Fees are payable whether your child attends or not. No credits or refunds will be provided for missed lessons. We are closed during certain school holidays and specified days, and we will inform you accordingly.

3. HOMEWORK:

Homework requires your supervision and encouragement. Homework is to be completed after each lesson. Grade 10 - 12 students are not given homework unless requested by the student.

4. MISSED LESSONS:

If you notify us before the lesson, we will schedule a catch-up lesson as soon as possible. Catch-up lessons must be completed within 2 weeks of the missed lesson, after which they are forfeited. The reason for the absence must be reasonable; it is not acceptable if the child is simply not in the mood or has not completed homework. Only one catch-up lesson per student is allowed per month, and parents are responsible for requesting the catch-up by completing the online catch-up request form. No catch-up lessons can be carried over from one year to the next, except for December catch-ups which will be arranged by the office. Catch-up lessons are subject to tutor availability and are not guaranteed. No catch-up lessons will be offered if fees are outstanding, and confirmed catch-up lessons will be forfeited if not attended. Catch-up lessons cannot be exchanged for money, and parents may not withhold payment because catch-ups are owed.

5. COMMUNICATION:

Invoices, statements, parent notices, and other communication will be sent via email, WhatsApp, SMS, or hard copy notices. It is your responsibility to update us with any changes to your contact details and to read all communication received from us.

6. PARENT FEEDBACK:

Two parent feedback meetings will be arranged on a Saturday during the year. These meetings provide an opportunity to discuss your child’s progress, review their workbook, and address any concerns.

7. DECEMBER FEES:

The Centre is closed in December. Fees are charged and payable for December regardless of the closure. Missed lessons from December will be rescheduled and made up during the first few months of 2026. Please note that if lessons are terminated, any unused or unattended catch-up lessons will be forfeited and cannot be carried forward.

8. FINANCIAL POLICY SUMMARY:

1.Minimum Term Commitment:

A minimum of 12 weeks of lessons must be completed. Early termination before 12 weeks incurs a 25% charge of the remaining weeks' fees.

2. Fees and Payment Terms:

Monthly fees are due in advance by the 1st of each month.

No payment breaks are allowed; fees are payable even if your child does not attend lessons.

Registration fees may apply if lessons are temporarily terminated and resumed.

3. Missed Lessons and Refunds:

Unattended lessons are non-refundable.

Advanced payments and enrolment fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

4.Overdue Accounts:

Interest is charged at 2% per month on overdue accounts.

Unpaid accounts may be handed over for collection with additional charges.

5.Annual Fees and Increases:

Fees increase annually in January.

A stationery fee is charged in January.

6. December Fees:

A full December fee is charged despite the holiday schedule. December closure, and catch-up days are planned for the following year.

9. TERMINATION OF LESSONS:

Termination requires one written calendar months’ notice (i.e., 4 weeks from the 1st of the month). No catch-up lessons will be offered after termination.

Please note that termination of enrolment will not be accepted from September through December. This period is critical for us to conduct year-end assessments that measure each child’s academic progress and inform their personalised learning plans for the following year. Additionally, December fees are essential to the continued operation of our Centre. As a private remedial facility, we rely on consistent monthly income — including December — to cover annual running costs, pay staff, and ensure that we can reopen in January with the same high standard of service and support your children deserve.
